In nature, everything happens effortlessly.
You are nature.
Our reptilian brain
It usually takes a while for someone to seek help. After all, we humans are creatures of habit. We don’t like change very much.
That’s actually quite funny, because in nature everything is constantly changing. The reason we don’t like it comes from the amygdala. That’s part of our ancient reptilian brain. That amygdala sometimes really gets in our way. Sometimes you know something is good for you and yet you don’t do it: that comes from that amygdala. Staying right where you are. Yet life is a stream of change; in your work, your living situation; your friendships. Nothing stays the same. Change is therefore inevitable in human life. My first piece of advice is: don’t resist. Just let it happen.
We humans try too hard
On the other hand, we want progress. We have desires and we want to develop ourselves. Our brain gets to work. We think of a strategy and get to work. But things don’t always go as we would like them to. Sometimes we try a little too hard. We forget to listen to our inner natural flow. When you find yourself in that situation, you feel disconnected from your surroundings. It’s time to make an appointment, because that natural flow wants to return to you. It’s part of who we are. We are nature.
Even though most people see nature as something outside ourselves. Something we visit at the weekend: the forest or the beach. But we, like animals and plants, are part of that silent, invisible life force. Everything in nature is harmonised. Nothing is separate from us. When we learn to reconnect with our own nature, everything falls into place. You will know exactly what to do at the right moment. So, the heart comes first, and only then the head.
How to move on?
First thing you can do is pause. Stop pushing for a moment. Stop wanting what you cannot control. In other words, accept where you are now. Try to find some peace in that. Once you have done that, you can move on to step two. I am always here to help you with that. I work in a holistic way, so we follow your natural flow.
Our frustrations and blockages often emerge from resistance to our own natural flow. Something wants to change within you, and you resist it. Did you know that caterpillars do this too? The caterpillar first fights against the changing cells (called “imaginal cells”). Only when the caterpillar stops resisting can the process of transformation into a butterfly become a reality. The natural flow wants to bring you back to your true self. In our sessions, we explore what that is. And we look at how we can bring you back to where you can feel life flowing again.
